Our Story
Nestled in the heart of Dal Lake, Srinagar, Royal Vintage Houseboat represents a century-old tradition of Kashmiri hospitality and craftsmanship. Our story began in 1920 when our founder, Sheikh Abdul Rahman, built the first houseboat to share the beauty of Kashmir with the world.
For three generations, our family has preserved and enhanced this legacy, blending traditional Kashmiri architecture with modern luxury. Each detail, from the intricate walnut wood carvings to the hand-knotted carpets, tells a story of Kashmir's rich cultural heritage.

The Beginning
Sheikh Abdul Rahman built the first houseboat using traditional Kashmiri woodcraft techniques, establishing the foundation of our family legacy.

Complete renovation with modern plumbing and electricity, making Royal Vintage one of the first luxury houseboats in Srinagar.
